Red Bull Racing's New Wind Tunnel Ahead of Schedule

Red Bull Racing is making significant strides in constructing a new Formula 1 wind tunnel at its Milton Keynes campus, currently ahead of schedule by three months. This new facility is intended to replace their outdated 70-year-old wind tunnel, which Team Principal Christian Horner has dubbed a "Cold War relic." Technical Director Pierre Wache is optimistic about the timeline, anticipating that the tunnel may be operational by 2026, just in time to aid development for the team's 2027 car.

The upgraded infrastructure is essential for Red Bull to maintain competitiveness against rival teams that have already modernized their wind tunnels. Wache acknowledged the possibility of unforeseen delays but emphasized the advantages that the new facility will provide in aerodynamic testing over the current equipment.
