Cup, Truck and O'Reilly Series all debut at Coronado
Summary
NASCAR’s first weekend at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego is set for June 19-21 on the new Qualcomm Circuit, a 3.4-mile, 16-turn street course that NASCAR says is the longest track on the 2026 schedule. All three national series will make their debut at the military base, and all three will run on familiar Goodyear road-course tires, with the Cup Series using the D-5242 tire and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Craftsman Truck Series both using the D-6166 tire. Wet-weather tires will be available for the O’Reilly and Truck Series if needed.
The weekend opens Friday with Truck Series practice and qualifying, followed by the Navy 250 at 7 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series has practice Friday and races Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on The CW in the United Rentals Driven to Serve 250. Cup Series practice is Friday, qualifying is set for Saturday afternoon, and the Anduril 250 follows Sunday at 4 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.
The O’Reilly field has 37 cars entered, including Canadian driver Alex Labbé in the No. 0 SS GreenLight Racing Chevrolet. Labbé will make his third start of the season after finishing 19th at Watkins Glen in May, and he has three top-20 finishes in four O’Reilly starts this year. The Cup entry list includes 39 cars, with seven-time champion and nearby El Cajon native Jimmie Johnson in Legacy Motor Club’s No. 84 Toyota and Kevin Magnussen in Trackhouse Racing’s Project 91 car. Shane van Gisbergen enters as the most recent Cup Series street-course winner after taking the Chicago Street Course race last July.
