F1 Academy Introduces Reverse Grid Races for 2025

F1 Academy will reintroduce reverse grid races for the 2025 season, changing the structure of Race 1. In this new format, the starting grid for Race 1 will be set by reversing the top eight drivers from the qualifying classification. Race 2 will follow the traditional format based on qualifying times. The updated points system will reward the top eight finishers in Race 1 and the top ten in Race 2, with bonuses for the fastest laps, fostering a competitive environment.

This change coincides with the series' expansion to 18 entries, reflecting the growth of F1 Academy and the increasing representation of young female drivers in motorsport. Delphine Biscaye, the Competition Manager, noted that the reverse grid format is expected to increase excitement and provide drivers who typically qualify in the middle a chance to showcase their skills. The upcoming season promises new challenges and development opportunities for participants, highlighting the Academy's commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
