Guy Fieri Joins Legacy Motor Club as Strategic Owner
Summary
Guy Fieri has joined Legacy Motor Club as a strategic owner in a move aimed at widening the NASCAR team’s reach through content creation, fan engagement and licensed merchandise. The team said the partnership will blend racing with food and lifestyle culture, and Fieri said he was drawn to NASCAR’s energy and wanted to be part of a project that connects racing culture with fans from the track to the table.
Legacy co-owner Jimmie Johnson said Fieri’s authenticity and creativity fit the club’s vision and its goal of connecting with fans beyond race day. The team said the partnership is part of its push to build a modern motorsports organization with appeal outside traditional racing audiences, and it said additional activations tied to Fieri’s role will be announced later in the season.
The announcement added another celebrity name to Legacy Motor Club’s ownership group, following singer and songwriter Darius Rucker’s addition a few months earlier. Legacy, which entered full-time NASCAR Cup Series competition under its current rebrand in 2023, said it is also planning to grow from two full-time cars to three in 2027.
