Summary
Shane van Gisbergen dominated the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, beating Chase Briscoe by 0.357 seconds to win for the second straight year at the road course and collect his second NASCAR Cup Series victory of 2026. The Trackhouse Racing driver led a race-high 74 of 110 laps, took the lead for the final time on Lap 88 and held on after working through setup and handling issues with crew chief Stephen Doran. The win was van Gisbergen’s eighth career Cup Series victory, and all eight have come on road courses, tying Tony Stewart for second on NASCAR’s all-time road-course wins list behind Jeff Gordon.
