Arthur Leclerc to Make Historic F1 Debut

Arthur Leclerc is poised to make his Formula 1 debut during the opening practice session at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, stepping in for Carlos Sainz alongside his brother, Charles Leclerc. This landmark event will mark the first time two brothers have participated as teammates in an official F1 weekend session. Arthur, who has a strong racing background including stints in Formula 2 and LMP2, currently serves as a development driver for Ferrari.

As the 2024 season comes to a close, this session is particularly significant, coinciding with Lewis Hamilton’s final race with Mercedes. Arthur's participation reflects Ferrari’s commitment to training junior drivers while also aligning with recent junior driver eligibility rule changes being implemented across teams.
