Daniel Ricciardo Replaced by Liam Lawson for 2024 F1 Season

Daniel Ricciardo has been replaced by Liam Lawson for the remainder of the 2024 F1 season, a move expected to solidify VCARB's lineup for 2025 and beyond. The decision comes as the team is locked in a tight contest with Haas for sixth place in the Constructors' Championship standings.

Ricciardo's departure marks the end of his dream of a fairytale return to Red Bull, which he had long hoped for. He will leave Red Bull with immediate effect, bringing his second stint in Formula 1 to an end. Despite scoring points on five occasions, including a fourth-place finish in the Sprint in Miami, and sitting 14th in the drivers' standings, his form hasn't been enough to convince the Red Bull family to keep him on. The Australian driver, one of the sport's most popular, is expected to be replaced by Liam Lawson, a 22-year-old academy product, who will take over the car from Austin onwards.
