Ducati Sticks with Winning GP24 Setup for 2025

Ducati is preparing for the upcoming MotoGP season by opting to use its successful 2024 chassis and GP24 engine instead of debuting the new GP25. This decision comes after a remarkable 2024 season in which Ducati dominated, winning 19 out of 20 races. Team manager Davide Tardozzi confirmed that, in addition to the engine, several components from the GP24 will be utilized to maintain competitiveness while complying with regulations before the engine freeze that lasts until 2027.

Riders Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia will compete with the GP24 setup, alongside Alex Marquez, who believes this strategy creates parity among Ducati riders and enhances their chances against rival manufacturers. He has shown significant promise in pre-season tests, frequently finishing in the top three. The opening round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship is set to begin on February 28 in Buriram, and Ducati's approach aims to balance consistency with the potential to contend for the title throughout the season.
