IMSA Teams Gear Up for 2025 Le Mans

Multiple teams from IMSA's GTP field are actively pursuing participation in the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours, signaling a potentially significant increase in entries for the event. Porsche Penske Motorsport has already been approved to enter a third factory car, with Proton Competition aiming to add another Porsche 963, which could bring the total to five Porsche entries. This move follows Porsche’s success in the 2024 IMSA GTP title.

Cadillac is also gearing up for a notable presence at Le Mans, with Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing exploring the opportunity to field cars. This involvement would mark a robust entry for Cadillac, leveraging insights gained from previous races. In addition, Corvette plans to represent the American manufacturers in the LMGT3 category with entries from TF Sport and AWA, further solidifying the U.S. commitment to the prestigious endurance race.
