Mahindra Weighs Future in Formula E Racing

Mahindra is currently evaluating its future in Formula E as it contemplates its commitment to the new Gen4 regulations set to take effect in 2026. Unlike other manufacturers, the team has yet to officially sign on to these upcoming rules. Frederic Bertrand, the team's principal, has indicated that Mahindra will make a final decision by a mid-January deadline.

The team's indecision is influenced by financial concerns stemming from lackluster performances in recent seasons, coupled with the expected increased costs associated with the new regulations. In light of this uncertainty, Mahindra is also considering the option of becoming a customer team if it chooses not to participate as a manufacturer, while still preparing to compete in the upcoming season.
