Morbidelli Sets Fastest Time at Sepang Test

Franco Morbidelli emerged as the fastest rider on the second day of the 2025 Sepang MotoGP test, clocking an impressive lap time of 1m57.210s on his VR46 Ducati GP24, breaking Yamaha's brief dominance. Fabio Quartararo followed closely in second with a lap time of 1m57.324s. Other notable performances included Gresini Ducati's Alex Marquez and rookie Fermin Aldeguer, along with factory Ducati's Francesco Bagnaia, who all showed marked improvements in the rising temperatures of the session.

The day was significantly calmer than the challenging opening day, which saw multiple riders, including reigning champion Jorge Martin and Fabio Di Giannantonio, sidelined due to injuries. Although Marc Marquez crashed late in the day, he remained unharmed, finishing 14th overall. With the final testing day on the horizon, teams are eager to fine-tune their setups before the season opener in Thailand, following a total of five official pre-season testing days.
