Norris Aims to Challenge Verstappen in 2025

Lando Norris is optimistic about his chances to compete for the 2025 Formula 1 Championship, despite finishing the 2024 season 63 points behind Max Verstappen. After securing his first race win in 2024 and contributing to McLaren's five victories, Norris emphasized his belief that both he and the team will be better positioned from the start of next season. He acknowledged Verstappen's incredible driving this past year, praising him for having "no bad side" in his performance, but expressed determination to disrupt Verstappen’s dominance.

Reflecting on the 2024 season, Norris noted regret over McLaren's slow start, which he felt allowed Verstappen an easier path to his fourth championship. While Verstappen finished fifth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Norris recognized that if McLaren's car had been more competitive early on, they could have pressured Verstappen further. With McLaren currently in contention for the Constructors' Championship, leading Ferrari and RB, Norris feels that the team’s improvements could lead to a stronger challenge against Verstappen next year.
