FIA, ACO and IMSA agree unified 2030 Hypercar rules

The FIA, the ACO and IMSA jointly confirmed a framework for a unified 2030 Hypercar regulation package that will create a single technical platform for top-class prototype racing in the World Endurance Championship and the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Announced at a press conference in Le Mans, the package is intended to replace the current LMH/LMDh convergence approach and keep Balance of Performance in place. Officials framed the rules as a way to control costs while preserving manufacturer identity, and IMSA President John Doonan called the package "beneficial for everyone."
