Ford confirms six-driver 2027 WEC Hypercar roster

Ford finalized a six-driver lineup for its return to the WEC Hypercar class in 2027, naming Matt Campbell, Nick Yelloly, Tom Blomqvist, Mike Rockenfeller, Sebastian Priaulx and Logan Sargeant. Ford revealed the final three additions — Campbell, Yelloly and Blomqvist — on Friday at Le Mans; they join the previously announced Rockenfeller, Priaulx and Sargeant. The roster mixes endurance specialists, including 2025 IMSA GTP champion Matt Campbell and Le Mans‑experienced Nick Yelloly; Tom Blomqvist and the others bring additional long‑distance racing pedigree. Campbell’s credentials include a class win at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans, overall victories at the Daytona 24 Hours and the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the 2025 IMSA GTP title.

Ford will run an in‑house LMDh prototype powered by a 5.4‑liter Coyote V8. Testing will begin in August at European circuits, and the prototype will be officially unveiled the same month; development will focus on performance, reliability and systems validation. The car is expected to debut ahead of the 2027 WEC season, which will begin in March. Team leaders said the six‑driver lineup is being built to contend for an overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ford will announce the car’s official name, final design and the final 2027 driver pairings at a later date.
