    Summary

Noel León claimed his maiden FIA Formula 2 pole position at Spielberg for Campos Racing, setting the pace with a 1:15.544 lap on a late run on fresh Supersoft tires. He secured the top spot while several rivals were in the pit lane, after a strategic solo run midway through qualifying.

Alexander Dunne finished second, 0.129 seconds behind León, with Nikola Tsolov third, 0.186 seconds back. Championship leader Gabriele Minì qualified fourth and Rafael Câmara was fifth after earlier leading the session on the first set of laps. Dunne and Tsolov both made late attempts to improve, but neither could beat León's time, and less than 1.3 seconds covered the field from first to Nicola Varrone in 22nd.

Sebastián Montoya completed the top 10 and earned reverse-grid pole for Saturday's sprint race, scheduled for 14:15 local time. The rest of the top 10 were Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, Oliver Goethe, Rafael Villagómez and John Bennett, with Bennett also set to line up on the sprint race front row alongside Montoya.
