Chinese Grand Prix Secures Spot on F1 Calendar Until 2030

The Chinese Grand Prix will continue to feature on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2030, following a new five-year agreement signed in Abu Dhabi. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali shared his enthusiasm for the event’s return after its four-year absence due to the pandemic, noting the increasing support for the sport in China. The Shanghai International Circuit, which first hosted an F1 race in 2004, marked its 20th anniversary this year with a sold-out event. The race is scheduled to take place on March 23, 2024, making it the second event of the season.

In addition to the excitement surrounding the race, fans will note the absence of Zhou Guanyu, who has been let go by his team, Sauber. The promoter of the Chinese GP underscored the event’s significance in showcasing Shanghai internationally and expressed a commitment to improve the overall fan experience.
