Di Giannantonio Undergoes Successful Surgery, Eyes Return

Fabio Di Giannantonio, a rider for the VR46 Racing Team, underwent successful surgery on February 9, 2025, to repair a fractured left collarbone sustained during a crash on the first day of testing in Sepang. The procedure took place in Rome, performed by Professor Alessandro Castagna, and was successful, allowing Di Giannantonio to begin his rehabilitation immediately. Although he will miss the upcoming two-day Test in Buriram, he is determined to recover in time for the season-opening Thai GP, scheduled for February 28 to March 2.

The team has expressed strong support for Di Giannantonio's recovery as he looks to compete this season on a factory-spec Ducati. However, he is not alone in facing pre-season challenges; reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Martin is also sidelined due to injuries from testing. Both riders will enter the season with limited experience on their new machines, highlighting the tough road ahead as they aim to make a swift return to competitive racing.
