Michelin Confirms Tyre Safety After Martin Crash

Michelin has addressed concerns about the tyres used by Aprilia's Jorge Martin during his significant crash at the Sepang MotoGP test, clarifying that their investigations found no faults with the tyre. Piero Taramasso confirmed that the tyre, manufactured last year, functioned well prior to the incident. Aprilia's CEO Massimo Rivola echoed these sentiments, stating that both rider and bike showed no errors based on the team's data. Despite the scrutiny following Martin's crash, which resulted in multiple fractures and surgery, both Michelin and Rivola emphasized that the tyre performed within expected parameters.

While some riders reported grip issues with the medium rear tyre at Sepang, Michelin remains confident in their assessment that no deficiencies exist in their product. This situation has sparked discussions within the MotoGP community regarding tyre performance, particularly in relation to Martin's crash.
