Mike Wallace Returns for 2025 Daytona 500

Mike Wallace, brother of NASCAR legends Rusty and Kenny Wallace, is set to make his return to the sport by competing in the 67th Daytona 500 on February 16, 2025, driving the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for MBM Motorsports. At 65 years old, this will be Wallace's first Cup start since 2015, and he brings a wealth of experience with over 800 starts across NASCAR's top three divisions, alongside several notable wins, including races at Daytona International Speedway.

Wallace's announcement, shared via Kenny Wallace's social media, reflects his excitement about re-entering the prestigious event after an extended absence. He voiced that returning to the Daytona 500 is a source of pride and honor for both himself and his team, especially in light of personal reflections following the loss of his wife. Team owner Carl Long cited Wallace's expertise as a plate racer as a significant factor in choosing him for this opportunity. MBM Motorsports is also actively pursuing a primary marketing partner to bolster their efforts during the race weekend, which will begin with practice on February 12.
