Norris Faces Challenges Ahead of Las Vegas Grand Prix

Lando Norris shared his concerns about his performance during the Friday practice at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, describing his high-fuel runs as "shocking." While he secured the second-fastest time, he faced significant challenges with tyre graining and criticized the low grip conditions, suggesting he could drive a road car faster. Recognizing his struggles, Norris admitted to not being adept in managing high-fuel runs and is committed to improving ahead of Saturday's qualifying session.

Norris's worries extend beyond individual performance; he expressed disappointment about McLaren's long-run pace during the practice sessions. Although he was the only non-Mercedes driver to challenge Lewis Hamilton, finishing second-fastest, the team’s racing rhythm suffered due to front tyre graining and an overall poor race pace. With the championship at stake, particularly trailing Max Verstappen by 62 points, McLaren needs to find the balance between their impressive one-lap speed and the essential long-run performance to remain competitive.
