Formula E Race Director Scot Elkins to Retire

Scot Elkins, the Race Director for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, will retire after the Miami E-Prix in April 2025 due to personal reasons, particularly following the recent loss of his father. Elkins has dedicated seven years to the role, significantly contributing to the series during critical growth phases and the challenges of the pandemic season in 2019-20. His departure marks the end of a notable tenure, and he has expressed gratitude for his time in the sport.

Marek Hanaczewski, who has been with Formula E since 2014 and served as Deputy Race Director since Season 8, will succeed Elkins. Hanaczewski is prepared to lead race operations, leveraging his experience to ensure a seamless transition. Additionally, Benoit Dupont will step in as Deputy Race Director starting from the Monaco E-Prix, further strengthening the race management team. Elkins aims to focus on family and explore other motorsport projects in the USA, while Hanaczewski looks forward to continuing the championship's success under his guidance.
