    Summary

Freddie Slater took his first FIA Formula 3 pole position at his home British Grand Prix qualifying session, setting a fastest lap of 1:45.620 to claim his first Aramco Pole Position Award. The Trident driver finished about two-tenths clear of the field after also topping practice earlier in the day and briefly losing one lap to track limits before returning to the top of the timesheets.

Theophile Nael recovered from as low as 29th in the session to qualify second, with Louis Sharp third for PREMA Racing. Ernesto Rivera took fourth, Matteo de Palo fifth after briefly leading qualifying with a 1:46.383, and Fionn McLaughlin was sixth for his best Formula 3 qualifying result. Trident placed three cars inside the top seven.

Track limits penalties shaped the session throughout, with laps deleted for several drivers including Slater, Nael and Ugo Ugochukwu. Ugochukwu qualified 12th after his penalty, but still earned reverse-grid pole for the Saturday Sprint Race, scheduled to start at 09:35 local time.
