Camara grabs Silverstone F2 pole with 1:39.690 lap

Rafael Camara took pole position for the Formula 2 feature race at Silverstone, putting together a lap of 1:39.690 to secure his third pole of the season. The Invicta Racing driver beat Alex Dunne by 0.201 seconds and Kush Maini by 0.202 seconds, while Dunne recovered to second after a lap deletion for exceeding track limits earlier in the session. Maini qualified third, just 0.001 seconds behind Dunne.
Roman Bilinski finished fourth in what was his season-best qualifying result, after briefly setting the pace before the order changed on the final runs. Nikola Tsolov, who also led at one stage, qualified fifth. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak took sixth, Joshua Durksen seventh, Rafael Villagomez eighth and Ritomo Miyata ninth.
Championship leader Gabriele Mini qualified 10th and will start from reverse-grid pole for Saturday’s sprint race, with Miyata alongside him on the front row. Miyata’s ninth-place effort gave him his first top-10 start of 2026.
