Sonoma draws full Cup field, stacked O'Reilly entry lists
Summary
NASCAR’s weekend at Sonoma Raceway brings a full Cup Series field and a strong entry list for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, with both races drawing several notable drivers to the California road course. The Cup Series race, the Toyota/Save Mart 350, has 36 cars entered, no open cars, and a field that includes full-time contenders along with part-time and notable non-full-time drivers such as Austin Hill in Richard Childress Racing’s No. 33 Chevrolet, Connor Zilisch, Shane van Gisbergen and AJ Allmendinger. The 36-car lineup is smaller than last weekend’s 39-car field at Naval Base Coronado, but it still gives Sonoma a full-field Cup race.
Shane van Gisbergen goes into Sunday’s Cup race as the defending winner and will drive Trackhouse Racing’s No. 97 Chevrolet. The race is set for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sonoma’s 1.99-mile road course, which also opens the 2026 In-Season Challenge. The event is the 18th points-paying race of the Cup season and will air on TNT Sports, HBO Max, PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, the PITBOSS/FOODMAXX 250, follows on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET as the 19th points-paying race of the season. That entry list has 38 cars, including three full-time Cup Series drivers, and defending winner Connor Zilisch is entered in JR Motorsports’ No. 1 Chevrolet. Shane van Gisbergen is also entered in JR Motorsports’ No. 9 Chevrolet, while Ross Chastain is in Jordan Anderson Racing’s No. 32 Chevrolet as the series stays in California after racing at Naval Base Coronado.
