Stromsted Beats Late Pressure to Seal Second F3 Victory
Summary
Noah Stromsted won the FIA Formula 3 feature race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg for Trident, holding off late pressure in the closing laps after starting fourth on the grid. It was his second career FIA Formula 3 victory, his first feature race win, and it made him the eighth different winner in the 2026 season.
Ugo Ugochukwu finished second for Campos Racing after passing pole-sitter Hiyu Yamakoshi early to take the lead, while Freddie Slater briefly led before taking third for Trident and completing the podium. Pedro Clerot finished fourth for Rodin Motorsport and Jin Nakamura was fifth for Hitech Grand Prix. The race was interrupted by an early safety car after Maciej Gladysz and Yevan David crashed, then a virtual safety car after Fernando Barichello and Wooyun Shin made contact. Barichello, Shin, Gladysz and David retired.
