Leclerc Recovers from Crash to Top FP2

Charles Leclerc's Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend got off to a rocky start with a crash in FP1, caused by locking up under braking and striking the barriers. The incident led to a red flag and a lengthy repair job for his Ferrari. Despite the setback, Leclerc bounced back in FP2, setting the fastest time by a mere 0.006 seconds over Sergio Perez.

Leclerc's recovery was all the more impressive given the set-up issues his car experienced in FP2, which he was able to overcome and find a good balance. Perez, who has struggled in recent rounds, appeared to find a mini-revival at Red Bull, but still struggled with balance issues. The top four teams are looking tight in the longer runs, making Sunday's race look competitive.
