Leclerc Secures Pole for 2024 Azerbaijan GP

    Charles Leclerc secured pole position for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, beating Oscar Piastri by three-tenths of a second, his fourth in a row in Baku. Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz took third, while Red Bull's Sergio Perez and George Russell of Mercedes rounded out the top five. Championship leader Max Verstappen will start in Baku from P6.

    Lando Norris suffered a shock Q1 exit, when he was forced to lift for a yellow flag in the third sector, ruining his lap and hurting his title chances. He will start the race in 17th place. Despite setbacks in practice, Leclerc said the pace was always there and he felt good about his car.
