Lia Block Continues F1 Academy Journey with Williams

Williams Racing has announced that 18-year-old Lia Block will continue her journey in the F1 Academy for the 2025 season, representing ART Grand Prix. Block, the daughter of the late rally legend Ken Block, has shown impressive growth in her debut open-wheel season, sitting eighth in the Drivers' Standings and achieving two fourth-place finishes, particularly in Singapore. She expressed her excitement about remaining with Williams and is eager to compete for victories in the upcoming season, which will commence in Shanghai.

Sven Smeets, Sporting Director at Williams Racing, praised Block's development and potential in single-seater racing, forecasting even greater achievements in the new season. Alongside Block, several other drivers, including Chloe Chambers, Nina Gademan, and Ella Lloyd, will also be joining the grid, marking a significant expansion for the F1 Academy. The 2025 season not only aims to enhance opportunities for female drivers but will also introduce new teams and cars to the series, ultimately enhancing the competitive environment of motorsport.
