McLaren Unveils Revised Floor Upgrade for Mexican Grand Prix

McLaren has introduced a revised floor design for its 2024 Formula 1 car, featuring "geometric changes in all areas" to increase aerodynamic load across all conditions. The upgrade was originally planned for the US Grand Prix but has been revised and will debut in Mexico. The team is leading the constructors' championship by 40 points and is looking to gain an advantage over Red Bull, which has only brought circuit-specific updates. The revised floor is part of a package of upgrades that McLaren has brought to the Mexican Grand Prix, including circuit-specific changes to the engine cover and cooling louvre to combat high altitude and temperatures. Red Bull and Ferrari have also made changes, with Red Bull enlarging the volume of the central topbody and Ferrari bringing circuit-specific cooling louvres.
