Haas Prepares for First Test with New Lineup

Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon are gearing up for the Testing of Previous Cars session at the Jerez circuit, marking a significant step for Haas as they prepare for the 2025 Formula 1 season. This test will see Bearman and Ocon take the wheel of the VF-23, with support from Toyota GAZOO Racing driver Ritomo Miyata. The duo replaces veterans Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen in a completely revamped lineup for the team. The TPC regulations allow teams to utilize cars up to two years old, enabling rookies like Bearman to gain essential track experience.

This marks Haas's first TPC participation in eight years, and it is a strategic move bolstered by a new technical alliance with Toyota, following a productive 2024 season where they finished seventh in the Constructors' standings. The presence of Ocon, returning for his second test with Haas, alongside Bearman—who is debuting as a full-time driver—will provide a valuable opportunity for development.
